Undergraduate finance major courses are restricted to declared finance majors during registration. Students with a declared major other than finance may inquire about registering in restricted courses during walk-in hours from 10:30-11:30 M-F, in the Undergraduate Program Office, C140 PBB.
Summer enrollment policy: Summer course availability is not guaranteed. Undergraduate courses offered during the summer are subject to cancellation due to low enrollment and/or instructor availability. Enrollment decisions will be finalized and communicated to students by way of their University of Iowa email account as soon as possible, but notification will vary depending on the course and session.

To declare the RMI Certificate, students must take ECON:1100 Microeconomics, ECON:1200 Macroeconomics and FIN:3400 Enroll in Principles of Risk Management and Insurance. Build the certificate into your electives today!
Risk Modeling is great to put on any resume for a future employer. CAVEAT: A student needs to feel comfortable with Microsoft Excel as this course is heavily based in Excel spreadsheets.
