Compare your internship to the course requirements.  Course requirements are located at https://careers.uiowa.edu/internships/registering-your-internship. To request approval to register, input your internship information in Handshake. (1) Log into Handshake@UI  (2) Click on Career Center at the top  (3) Click on Experiences (4) Click on Request an Experience. (5) Under Experience Type pick the appropriate course request (“0-Credit Hour Internship and Transcript Notation – not for CPT registration” (domestic students)  or “F-1 & J-1 – More than 10 hours per week – Zero Credit Hour Internship – for CPT” (international students) (6) Fill out and submit the form.
