Potential English majors are encouraged to enroll in a second General Education course in Literary, Visual, and Performing Arts instead of enrolling in ENGL:1200.  If potential majors are interested in studying literature during their first year, we encourage them to enroll in ENGL:2012-2016 Reading and Writing about a Genre courses.  ENGL:1200 cannot be used for credit towards the English major or minor.
