To request approval to register, input your internship information in Handshake. (1) Log into Handshake@UI  (2) Click on Career Center at the top  (3) Click on Experiences (4) Click on Request an Experience. (5) Under Experience Type pick the appropriate course request (“0-Credit Hour Internship and Transcript Notation – not for CPT registration” (domestic students)  or “F-1 & J-1 – More than 10 hours per week – Zero Credit Hour Internship – for CPT” (international students) (6) Fill out and submit the form. Independent studies are only granted in very limited circumstances and must be approved by the professor, Director of Undergraduate Studies, and Curriculum Committee a semester prior to the independent study. See Advisor for procedure and paperwork.

Students with previous college-level course work in chemistry may not enroll in this course for credit.
