Potential English majors are encouraged to enroll in a second General Education course in Literary, Visual, and Performing Arts instead of enrolling in ENGL:1200.  If potential majors are interested in studying literature during their first year, we encourage them to enroll in ENGL:2010, Foundations of the English Major. ENGL:1200 cannot be used for credit towards the English major or minor. PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY ONLINE REQUEST TO ADD THIS COURSE OR CHANGE SECTIONS OF ENGL:1200 AFTER 12:00 AM ON THE SIXTH DAY OF CLASSES WILL BE DENIED. Requirements: Students must complete all of their required ESL courses with a grade of C or higher before enrolling in ENGL:1200.
